Farm Happenings for November 1, 2022

Posted on October 28th, 2022 by Emily Asmus

This was a gift of a week on the farm. The soaking rain over the weekend germinated covercrop and watered in the transplants for our early spring flowers. It also cracked all the tomatoes, so we were able to harvest other food crops. All the remaining beets and carrots and radish came out of the field. Today we loaded up all the roots and washed them over at Hayshaker Farm, using their fine root washer tumbler and sorting table. Next week we'll bring in the last of the peppers and another big round of cabbage. Our larders are filling up with food for you!

For those of you who will be travelling for all of Thanksgiving week and will not be here on the Tuesday prior, November 22, you have two options:
1. Reschedule your box for a different Tuesday through Harvie

2. Do nothing in Harvie and stop by the Saturday market on November 19th. We will be set up just outside the Showroom. We can pack you out a "box" and cross you off the list for delivery on the 22nd

Also, in the offerings you will see the return of teas from Grateful Herb Apothecary. These can be selected as "extras."

Happy Eating,

Emily
