Farm Happenings for September 13, 2022

Posted on September 10th, 2022 by Emily Asmus

Apologies for this late start to the customization period. This week clearly got away from me. It was a week overfull with the bounty of the fields, the shrinking of the crew due to the start of school, and a few big wholesale orders. We were especially pleased to pack out a very large delivery to the BMAC food bank on Wednesday. The annual potato did on Labor Day was also a mighty success. Over 40 people stopped by to lend a hand. We brought in 15 rows a potatoes! Just two rows of fingerlings remain to be dug. We can do that!

The season begins to shift towards fall in the box offerings too. Corn and melons are done. Radish and arugula begin. Looks like cabbage are close on the horizon and tomatoes are still going strong.

Happy Eating,

Emily
