Farm Happenings for August 2, 2023

Posted on July 29th, 2023 by Trent Loewen

This is what's new for this week:

  • Cauliflower
  • Shelling peas
  • Parsley
  • Shishito peppers

Lots of broccoli again this week, also basil! We're harvesting the first of the cauliflower this week and a few purple cabbage. The shishito peppers are new for us, never grown them before. They're a Japanese frying pepper that's supposed to have little or no heat, but the ones we tried were mildly spicy. They say 1 out of 10 can be hot.

We're picking shelling peas again on Monday so check back for updated quantities.

Your box will be built automatically with only produce in it but everything else is available to swap in. Besides the produce, there is pasture-raised eggs, fresh baking, handmade soap from The Sudsy Llama, and our homemade ranch dressing.

As always, if you have any trouble with swapping or anything else, you’re welcome to call/text or email. Trent - 306-883-8832, Lois - 306-883-9289. Also the folks at Harvie are happy to help, reach them at support@harvie.farm.

Have a great week!
