Farm Happenings for September 15, 2021

Saskatchewan, Land of Living Skies! I often think of that when I’m working out in the field. It’s amazing watching the ever changing sky, seeing the weather coming from the west, and all the different colours and textures there can be in the clouds. This weekend we took a quick camping trip to Waskesiu Lake. Saturday was a beautiful day, we went boating and fishing on a glassy smooth lake, caught some fish, and hiked a few trails. It was an awesome break from the never ending work on the farm!

There IS corn on the list this week. I don’t know what happened last week, some technical glitch must have removed it from the list. We also have poblano peppers for the first time. If you’re not familiar with them, they are a large, dark green, mild chili pepper. Stuffed with cheese and deep fried, as chiles rellenos, is where they really shine!

Have a great week!
