Farm Happenings for September 8, 2021

Posted on September 6th, 2021 by Trent Loewen

I hope you’re having a great Labour Day weekend! I guess that means we’re moving onto another beautiful time of year - Fall! This week our children start back to school so that means all kinds of adjustments as we get back into that schedule. It’s all good though!

This week we have corn from our own garden ready. Although it’s the same variety (Vision) as the corn from Taber, it didn’t do very well this summer, mostly because I couldn’t get enough water on it. So the cobs vary quite a bit in size, there’s lots that are not very big or full. We’re also picking jalapenos this week. They are large jalapenos but the ones we have tried have not been very hot. I don’t know, is that good or bad? :-) We’ve had some extra cucumbers so Lois made some really good refrigerator pickles. Add them to your box and give them a try!

Enjoy your week!
