Farm Happenings for July 14, 2020

It is my experience that people are excellent to each other. Take out the online nastiness and arguing, and you get the pure humanity of us.
.
This is Joshua and Marvin. They both had other (better) things to do. It was Marvin's 42nd anniversary and Joshua was on his way to visit his very sick mother (stage 4 cancer).
.
They didn't have to stop to help me. But they did. And we spent the next hour and 45 minutes (including several trips to Marvin's house to get tools), changing my flat tire in a precarious position on the side of a busy road.
.
I have have tried to be a self- sufficient person. I know how to change a flat. But I promise you that there was no way I was going to change this alone. It took both of these strong men (with better things to do) to break the lugs.
.
I am so filled with gratitude for the kindness of strangers. I'll be thinking of this for a long time. If you find yourself in need of spirit lift, you can think of this too.
