Howdy,
Hope this finds everyone doing well! As you know, this week was the first of summer-like weather. Thankfully the good rains we had in prior weeks have kept our plants happy and healthy to manage warmer temperatures. We have started planting some of our summer staples like red noodle beans and okra to prepare for the coming months. Hopefully we will be able to share tomatoes with you all soon as well!
Also, I wanted to share with you all that I will be moving on to work at another farm in the Houston area. Next week will be my last at Millican Reserve. Fortunately, there is a great new farmer, Alexander, who will be assuming the role of Assistant Farm Manager. Thank you all so much for allowing me to serve in this capacity as one of your farmers. It has been a pleasure to meet some of you at the market or farm and I wish you all health and happiness. Millican Reserve has taught me many things, but most importantly that people are the true purpose of farming. Take care.
