Pictured above is a great beet muffin recipe that I discovered last weekend. You can find the details on our facebook community page if you are interested in trying them out.

Farm Update

Things are slowly winding down in the garden. We have all of our root crops out now and should have a good supply of beets, carrots, garlic, onions and spaghetti squash, hopefully until Christmas and likely beyond. When we get gradually colder night time temperatures plants start to produce a bit of a natural antifreeze. Fortunately, without a hard killing frost, this means we are still looking good for at least a week or two for harvests like kale, collard greens and chard.

New This Week

  • Eagle Creek: After a long wait we finally have brussels sprouts available from my friend John at Eagle Creek Farm. Eagle Creek also has more green cabbage ready to go.
  • Normamay Pads: Supporting local businesses, we're thrilled to introduce Normamay Pads, crafted by one of our food box members. Experience comfort and sustainability with these locally produced feminine hygiene pads.
