Farm Update November 18 - We're Hiring

Posted on November 18th, 2022 by Mike Kozlowski

We are looking for some extra help this winter at the farm. We need help two to three days per week with our mission of connecting people in the Red Deer area with local food.

This is a fun place to work and the people who work here are kind. We work at a fast pace with the goal of keeping the environment positive and relaxed.

Specifically, we need help with three different tasks. On Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday (flexible) we need help bagging up bulk root vegetables like carrots, beets and potatoes into smaller portions. On Thursday and Friday, we need help packing and verifying customer orders, and then delivering those orders to their homes.

If you can lift at 60 lbs and carry it about 50 feet, have your own reliable vehicle and have a strong attention to detail this could be a great position for you. The ideal new member of our team works easily with others and is happy working alone when necessary. Experience pulling and backing up a trailer is an asset.

For the right individual this position could lead to fulltime work in the summer.

If you or someone you know is interested, please send a resume and cover letter to mike@steelpony.ca.
