Farm Happenings for September 22, 2020 - DOSE Coffee Back on Extras Page

Posted on September 18th, 2020 by Mike Kozlowski

In a decade of farming I have never experienced a fall as conducive to growing vegetables as this. We still haven't had a killing frost and I don't see one in the long term forecast. For the sake of comparison, we typically get a hard frost sometime around September 9th, or the full moon - whichever comes first. Nonetheless, we are slowly creeping toward the tail end of our harvest season. We are starting to harvest root crops in bulk and are drying hundreds of bundles of herbs to squirrel away for a winter share. The details are still in the works for the winter share in terms of the number of weeks, the selection of crops and the price points, but you will be the first to know as soon as I have made all of the arrangements. I hope that you will be interested in joining us this fall/winter to continue to have access to these locally grown vegetables.

Our last delivery week for the summer program is the week of October 12th. To confirm your delivery schedule for the remainder of the season you can log into your account at https://www.harvie.farm/login and click on "Deliveries".
