Peppers coming soon!

This week's offerings:  Enough beets from our first picking to offer them one more time.  Eggplant this week; they started maturing quite quickly, and many more are forming!  Tomatoes starting to come in; in a few weeks there should be lots!

Coming next week, or soon:  Onions, peppers, carrots,

Offering on CBD oil:  For a couple of seasons we have grown hemp plants to be processed into CBD tinctures, or other products.  Although we are supplying some folks with the oil who testify to its effectiveness, we haven't seen enough interest to warrant plans for continued planting of the cannabis plants.  In fact, we did recently take off the section of the website where folks could order (and learn about some of the positive attributes of CBD oil) the oil. We are also not particularly skilled in, nor interested in, spearheading a marketing campaign to find buyers (either wholesale or retail) for the CBD products. We are growers, first and foremost!  But we figured we would at least make it easier for some of you who might have been on the fence about trying it for yourself the chance to try it at a very reduced cost.  So we are putting it on the Harvie Extras list, and if you wanted to buy a bottle (or more, no limit) for $20 apiece, it will be available there.  And we will put the oil into your tote along with your vegetables.  (You can request separately as a message one of the three flavors, but no guarantees that we will have your first choice.)  And for those who are regular users, feel free to take advantage of this offer to stock up at a huge savings! We do believe that the pharmacological benefits that come from plants that are either wild, or cultivated (like cannabis), can be immense, and are usually not explored by the mainstream medical world because they do not generate the returns to Big Pharma that patented medicines bring to them, but it remains to be seen if the CBD oil will be utilized on a wider scale than what we have found to date.  So if you are interested, give it a try, and if you do find some benefits, and might want us to continue to offer it, do let us know!  To be clear, the CBD oil does not contain or has at most miniscule amounts of THC, per the guidelines of the state of Wisconsin, and that's why we have been able to grow the hemp plants for the prior years.)

Storm came through!.  Fortunately, aside from some lettuce that got a little shredded, the fields are in good shape!  Just lost a couple limbs from trees. And we really needed the moisture!  Although we do regularly irrigate our crops, somehow the natural rainfall has a much better effect on the crops than the irrigation we provide.  Maybe the lightning has a beneficial effect as well; that's what they say!

Have a good week!
