Happenings for October 8, 2021

Posted on October 5th, 2021 by Peter Seely

Peter loading up some of the bins of potatoes to store for the next couple months (along with onions, squash, cabbage)

This week's offerings:  New this week are some fingerling potatoes, some fall spinach, and some mixed greens (including kale, tat soi, various mustards).  Lots of variety, as usual, for this time of year! We were going to include onions, but more than enough items on the list already, so we will make some available through the store for those who are all out and need them now!  Plan on them for next week though!

Coming next week:  First of the brussels sprouts, garlic, onions, perhaps chinese cabbage or red cabbage, carnival squash, eggplant,  more greens (e.g. spinach, salad mix, etc.), and (likely) cauliflower.  And perhaps a few more peppers & tomatoes!

Nice rain on the weekend!  Great for the fall greens.  But we will need some drier weather to get all the potatoes and sweet potatoes out of the ground. At least the temperatures, and now the colors, are fantastic!

Sorry for late sending -- much to take care of, in addition to the normal delivery preparations!  At least you can count on a later time tomorrow for a deadline for swapping/ordering!
