Farm Happenings for October 2, 2019

Posted on October 1st, 2019 by Peter Seely

Internet down for a while today; cutoff time will be Thursday morning 6 am.

New crop: Brussels sprouts! And fennel is back again for those who love it. Great in soups and salads.

The rain has made it hard to dig the potatoes and sweet potatoes but we are getting them out in between the showers.

A friend of ours, Jake Otte, has organic Concord grapes for purchase in 1.5 lb clamshells, look for them in the store. Good for jelly, juice, or wine.

There are still some organic Honey Crisp apples from our neighbor available in the store too. Also Scarlett O'Hara apples, as well, also from Dave & Rhonda's Happy Roots Farm.

Enjoy this beautiful weather ( :)  ) and we hope to see you at the Farm day next week Saturday, weather permitting. Join us between 10 and 4 with potluck lunch at 12:30. Farm tour following lunch.
