Summer's arrived, bringing warm weather which is still thankfully not too dry. We're anticipating lower rainfall this year and grateful that we're still receiving enough to avoid using irrigation at this point.
The field is looking great, with many new crops in the ground. This week we're planting onions in blocks - our previous trial with direct sowing last year failed due to too much weed competition, so we're keen to see how this style of growing performs. Bean poles and pea trellises are up, and we have some new crops for harvest this week (strawberries included!).
