Farm Happenings for December 2, 2023

Posted on November 28th, 2023 by Wouter Sels

Hi Everybody,

As summer is about to start so are a the snow peas and zucchinis.

Our potatoes, carrots and broccoli aren't too far off either and before we know it we'll have too many veggies to choose from!

This week's rain has been a great relief for the farm and for the many crops growing here and in Barrington.

Some even had their first watering after transplanting or direct seeding several weeks ago.

In search for water in the soil our cereals, many root veggies and transplanted brassicas had to put their roots deep down taking up nutritional goodies on their way. With the extra water they will likely grow into some tasty goodies for us and our farm ecology to thrive on.

Friday we have a public holiday and we will be picking most veggies tomorrow. So if you wanted to change anything to the contents of your veggie box this week please do this before 7.30 am Thursday.

Delivery will be as normal on Saturday.
