Farm Happenings for September 3, 2019

Posted on August 31st, 2019 by Wouter Sels

As spring is beginning, we are getting things sorted for the first deliveries. It's been a few months since the last deliveries, so if anything isn't clear, please don't hesitate to be in touch, or have a look at the help page which is loaded with great information on how to make the best of your CSA box via Harvie.

We'll be getting back into our weekly newsletters this week to keep you updated on the farm happenings.

We filled our coolroom with over wintered root veggies, sweetened by the many frosts they've seen during winter. Alongside some stored pumpkins and fresh greens we've got a great start for the season.

After the garden's 'lean' months of September& October, a bounty of greens and peas of all kinds, broadbeans, broccoli, and many other brassicas along with yummy fresh roots and herbs, to mention a few, will make for some great food on our tables.

With some new greenhouses we got up and planted nice and early, more variety will be available earlier on as a bonus on top of the summer fruit vegetables like capsicum, tomato and eggplant.

Happy eating,

warmest,

Wouter, Elyse, Arend, Gita and Rohan
