Made it Through the storm! Week #6

Posted on September 16th, 2020 by Cale Sprister

Well the farm made it through the cold and snow last week!

Unfortunately some crops were lost.  98% of the summer squash and zucchini did not make and the green bean plants also got frozen out. The most severe forecast never materialized. All in all I am very relieved!

The cold did put some of the just germinated crops in the main plot about a week behind.  I am hoping that they will recover quickly and take off fast in the hot weather that is re-established this week.

We are in the home stretch of the season and in trying to keep variety in the deliveries you'll start seeing more and more microgreens of various types in the bags.  These guys are small but loaded will health and really tasty! Think creatively in using them.

See you on the next delivery!

Thanks!

Your farmer
