Farm Happenings for May 14, 2020

Posted on May 11th, 2020 by Andrea McAdow

Hello my happy veggie eaters!

We hope you had a lovely weekend relaxing and giving your mamas some love. This week's share is a mix of cool weather and warm weather crops. We have some sweet onions along with the first trickle of zucchini. SO much more of that is coming so get your zucchini bread recipes ready. We're hoping this dip in temperatures will allow our plants a minute to breathe and recover. I think they're looking greener already too.

PSA We are officially on tomato watch. They are growing at a good pace now and we are pruning and trellising them weekly. We're getting closer and closer to being able to pick those first few beauties. Can't you just taste them already?

This week will keep us busy building cucumbers trellises, pulling some cool weather flowers to be replaced with heat tolerant ones, and mulching our newly planted rose garden. There never seems to be enough hours in the day.

See you soon,

Farmer Andrea
