Farm News: January 19-20, 2023

Posted on January 13th, 2023 by Robinette Farms

We have had some pretty nice weather lately and we have been busy trying to work on some outdoor projects on the warmer days.

Farmer Rebecca has filled our tunnels back up with new plantings that will be ready for us to cut in late February and March. We still have 2 of our tunnels full of greens and we will be babying these so we can harvest from them a couple of times over the next 6 weeks or so.

Alex has been working on finishing a buried water line project in one pasture, my Dad has been cutting down cedar trees in our pastures, and right now we are feeding cattle alfalfa bales every 2-3 days out on our pasture. Never a dull moment!

The puppies are 2 weeks old and just starting to open their eyes! They are also starting to try to stand up on all 4 legs, but mostly just army crawl and scoot themselves around when it's time to find mama. Most of the time they are sleeping or nursing - just like human babies!

Have a wonderful week!

Chloe
