Greetings farmsharers,
The first of our 2022 garlic planting is going in the ground today! A last minute effort to try to get the garlic planted before the ground gets too wet during this upcoming round of rainy grey days, we are buckling down to prepare the cloves as quickly as we can (while still making sure we get all the crops picked and washed for your CSA boxes and for markets). Yesterday evening a few crew mates got together for some quality time preparing or, as we say, "popping" the garlic. One of the most bonding activities on the farm and also a nice break from being out in the field, popping garlic is yet another favorite fall activity around here.
