Farm Happenings for November 10, 2020

Posted on November 2nd, 2020 by Anna Bunk

Dear farmshare members,

This is the last week of the Farmshare. We are so grateful for every one of you and we admire your commitment to supporting small scale organic agriculture. Thank you for being patient with us this season as we fumbled along learning some new systems (Harvie) and trying to keep up with the increased demand for farmshare membership. It has been a bumpy ride, for sure, but we are pleased to report that despite the challenges of the times, crops are still growing, trees are still standing, the river is still flowing, the sun is still shining, and there is snow on the mountains once again.

Wondering how to get our produce after this week?
We are happy to announce that we will continue to use Harvie as a platform for you to order our produce for the next few months. Instead of committing to the entire winter season, you can order from us from week to week using the "farmstand" feature on Harvie. We plan on delivering to your neighborhood every other week (probably on Thursdays, sometimes Saturdays). To take part, just sign up for “Farmstand” on your Harvie profile. You will get an email when the ordering window is open and it will be first come first serve. As you all know, as local seasonal eaters, as we enter into the winter months, the amount and type of product we will have available will decrease and shift towards root vegetables, winter squash, cabbage and dark leafy greens. We will try to keep the pantry items that we love (beans, nuts, kraut, flours) in stock as best we can to help keep you all nourished this winter with the highest quality foods!

Thanks to folks who filled out our survey!
If you were in our farmshare for the entire duration of the farming season, please consider filling out our survey (if you haven't already) to help us improve our farmshare program. It's about feeding you, after all, so we would love to hear your feedback!

Stay cozy, safe, warm, and healthy this winter. We are grateful for the opportunity to help keep you well nourished. Thank you!!!
