Another Hurricane, Another Harvest

Posted on October 26th, 2020 by Annie Moore

Another cone of uncertainty. When will it end?

Well, we're still planning on having our pick-ups this week, but stay tuned for any changes as the weather may make it impossible to harvest on our regular schedule.

This week, the forecast calls for a tropical storm and a lot more greens and veggie goodies. We're also very excited to be adding all natural satsumas and Meyer lemons from our neighbor down the road from our West Bank farm in our Extras section. Plus I've been making super delicious pea shoot and arugula pesto with some of those local lemons and our own garlic that you can find in the Extras section along with oyster mushrooms, eggs, jam, and more. We're also including a variety of winter squash from Indian Springs, mostly in the extras section, so if you don't see them in your share, be sure to keep looking. There are a lot of big ones!

And on Saturday, Colin from the Lost Line will be back with his breakfast burritos and onigirazus, so keep an eye out for when to pre-order those. You can follow him on Instagram @thelostlinenola for menu and ordering info. He sold out fast this past weekend, just saying.

We'll keep you posted if anything changes with the schedule. Thanks for being flexible and stay safe!
