Transition to Summer

Posted on April 27th, 2020 by Annie Moore

Hi everyone,

It's hard to believe that this week was originally scheduled to be our last week of farm shares for this season. As you hopefully saw, we've extended the farm share through May and will most likely add more weeks in June as well. Despite the glorious spring weather, we're transitioning a lot of our west bank beds to summer crops, as we plan to continue growing for the next couple months that are sure to be scorchers.  On our Bywater farm, we've been ramping up our herb production and have several happy beds bursting with luscious basil, dill, cilantro, and more.

We wanted to give you a heads up that we have some new sizes for BeetsNThyme fresh pasta (8oz and 1lb), a new Jamboree jam flavor made with loquats from the tree on our Bywater farm, and our eggs pricing is going down while Local Cooling Farms eggs are unavailable to us (unfortunately!) and we've switched to Greener Pastures. We're hoping to be able to add berries to the extras too, but are still waiting for delivery confirmation, so stay tuned.

There's a lot of variety in the veggie shares right now, and plenty of extras to hopefully keep your at-home dining fresh and interesting! Thanks for being part of this local food community with us!

Annie and Cheryl

PS - Keep those white microgreens containers out of the trash or out of the bottom of your tupperware drawer by returning them to us! We can reuse them!
