Farm Happenings for October 1, 2019 (week 17)

Posted on September 27th, 2019 by Neil Stauffer

Hi everyone. Our late season green and wax beans are great these days. In fact, many of our summer crops have held on longer than usual this season due to the warm and dry weather we continue to experience. And we know that means you're probably getting tired of some of those crops. But don't blink, because they will soon be gone. The greenhouse picture above is right before we started taking out finished beds of crops. It will be months and months until some of these crops return next year. All part of the ongoing seasonal cycles.

You will soon see some more significant changes in the contents of your box. This week we are putting in lots of delicata squash. This is one of my favorites. In fact, Susanna and I served them as part of our wedding dinner (many years ago).

We hope you have a great week. Thanks again for your ongoing support!
