Farm Happenings for May 16, 2020

Posted on May 14th, 2020 by Mitch Lawson

This is Annie and a good portion of our chicken flock living large.  Annie and Rossi, our other Great Pyrenees, are absolutely essential to protecting our hens and letting them run around as they please.  They keep coyotes, foxes and wild dogs at bay and even chase down hawks that try to swoop in!

Last Friday we covered all of our summer crops - peppers, eggplant, tomatoes, squash and cucumbers.

This week has been nice and warm. We planted melons, field peas, lima beans, okra, sweet corn and green beans.  Bring on the summer crops!

Please remember to get the box with your name.  If you order stew hens make sure they are in your box before you leave.  Sometimes we keep them in the cooler separate.

Please continue to be safe at pick up and follow CDC guidelines. Wash hands and use hand sanitizer, wear a mask at pick up, social distance and do not congregate in front of the market booth.
