Farm Happenings for October 9, 2021

Posted on October 6th, 2021 by Ben Sayler

Greetings from Farm! The leaves are beginning to change color and it is starting to feel like fall. We love this time of year when it is more comfortable to work outside and things begin to slow down a little bit.

We are planting the hoop house tomorrow in greens-salad mix, spinach, kale, and arugula. They should grow well into the winter and will be nice to have fresh produce in addition to all of our storage crops. We added 10 weeks to the season with a new ending date anticipated the week of January 9th. If this is your first winter venture with us, you will be surprised the variety we still have after the main growing season!

Thank you to everybody who has been ordering extra produce, meat, cheese, etc. from us. We are glad you are taking advantage of what we offer you. It helps you, us, and other local producers. Triple win! We have a few new items on this week. The Shitake mushrooms are looking extra beautiful this week and we are going to cook some up tonight. Please scroll through all of the extras to get everything you want before getting it from the store.

Be Healthy, Be Happy,

Farmer Ben
