Hello Local Farm Supporters!

All of the summer crops have been planted! Our fields are full and now we pray for good weather and robust growth.We planted tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, squash, cucumbers, broccoli, lettuce, okra, celery, basil, beans, radishes, and more onions. 
The 2020 Fruit and Vegetable share begins next week. Thank you to everybody who is joining us this year. As we launch the CSA program, we will take a break from the farm stand. Please visit us at The Frederick City Market if you are not a CSA member.

This week we have:
eggs-medium, large, x-large, jumbo
salad mix
spinach
chard
chard stalks-main stem of chard plant, its like flavorful celery!
arugula
beet greens-very tender and sweet
radishes-limited availability
spring onions
apples-pink lady, gala
apple sauce-honeycrisp (no sugar added)
canned peaches-medium syrup
honey-
kombucha-cherry, strawberry, ginger, rosemary, berry
cheese-cow milk-cheddar, gouda, havarti, garlic and chive
            -goats milk-classic chevre, garlic and dill chevre, jalepeno, cheddar, feta

Note on Ordering: After purchasing your 'share', you will receive an email confirmation that lists only the $1 farm stand service fee. You then have until 10 am on Friday to view your order, make changes, or cancel order by logging into your account. If you decide you do not want an order after you have purchased one, you must cancel the order before 10 am on Friday or we will pack it for you and your card will be charged for it. You will receive an email confirmation on Friday that details your full order. Your credit card on file will be charged on Friday as well.

Please return your boxes, egg cartons, and empty bottles for us to reuse. 

HOW TO ORDER:

We are taking all orders online. You’ll choose the base share valued at $1. This acts as a “buy in” to the farm stand share and then you’ll have the opportunity to build your own box by adding extras to your share. Pick-up for orders on Saturday is from 9 am to 1 PM at Pleasant Hill Produce, 10009 Kelly Road, Walkersville, MD 21793. We are the LAST HOUSE down a long gravel driveway. Do NOT stop at the first house. Sunday pick up is at The Frederick City Market, 331 N. Market St. Frederick MD 21701 from 9 to 1.

Here is how you place an order
Anyone can subscribe and sign up for the "farm stand share" by CLICKING THIS LINK https://www.harvie.farm/farm-stand/pleasant-hill-produce This will bring you to the farm stand page where you can build your order. 
-Choose a Delivery Option. Saturday at farm or Sunday at market.
-Choose a share. Click on the green box that says Select Share. Click the box next to “Preseason Sale”. The share is valued at $1. Click “add to order”. This gives you access to the site. Don’t worry, once you’ve checked out, you’ll be prompted to customize the contents.
-Enter Contact Information
-Checkout: Click “Build Share and Start Customizing” to complete your order and customize it by adding extras. Enter your credit card information. You’ve now created a farm stand order and will be able to add products on the next screen. You can also return to your order later to make changes by logging in with your email and password.

What to expect next:
You will receive a confirmation email stating that "Your Farm Stand order has been received! Your Delivery and order details are below." The confirmation lists only the $1 farm stand service fee. You then have until 10 am on Friday to view your order, make changes, or cancel order by logging into your account. You will receive an email confirmation on Friday that details your full order. Your credit card will be charged when we finalize the delivery on Friday morning.
