Farm Happenings for Oxen Hill Farm Autumn CSA #3 of 3 (week of December 3- December 8, 2020)

Posted on November 30th, 2020 by Lisa Griffin

As we enter into this final week of pick-ups for our 2020 season, we are both amazed at how long of a year this has been as well as how fast it seems to have gone by.   At this time a year ago, we had no idea what changes would come upon all of our lives within the past 9 months.  While there have certainly been highs and lows, we are grateful for your support along the journey and wish you all a very safe, healthy and joyful holiday season!Brussels sprouts by Jenny Graham

Speaking of your support, we are looking forward to the Summer 2021 CSA sign up process.  If you have already entered a credit card into the Harvie system, you should be set up to roll over into the membership for next summer.  We have always appreciated folks paying by check if they can, but it does help us manage things if you put your card into the Harvie system for the rollover process which will take place on December 14.  You certainly may elect to have the 25% deposit put onto your card and then just mail in a check for the remaining balance of your account.  Details on how to do that can be found here.

We are so grateful for the support of you, our members, during this past season and for the upcoming Summer 2021 CSA season.  It is because of your faithfulness, loyalty and glowing recommendations that we are able to keep our family farm growing in this, the 11th generation.  Thank you for supporting local organic agriculture!

EXTRA squash, sweet potatoes and farm made pickles, salsa, hot sauce, tomato sauces and relish (a great holiday gift!) may be purchased as EXTRAS when you customize your share this week!

SOME OF THE PRODUCE YOU RECEIVE HAS BEEN WASHED FROM THE FIELD, BUT LIKE ALL FRESH PRODUCE, SHOULD BE THOROUGHLY WASHED AND, SOMETIMES, REFRIGERATED BY YOU AT HOME.
