Oxen Hill Farm Autumn 2021 CSA #3 of 3 (pickups/deliveries December 2-7)

Posted on November 29th, 2021 by Lisa Griffin

As we enter into this final set of pick-ups for our 2021 season, we are both amazed at how long of a year this has been as well as how fast it seems to have gone by.  While there have certainly been highs and lows, we are grateful for your support along the journey and wish you all a very safe, healthy and joyful holiday season!

Speaking of your support, we are looking forward to the Summer 2022 CSA sign up process.  We are exploring options for our share management for next year and we will be planning to open up sign ups in January of 2022, so please stay tuned for an email invitation and posting on our social media!

The harsh cold winds have brought the end to a lot of the field produce, but we have plenty of roots and stored squash to fill out shares this week.  The tips of some of the lettuce got burned by the winds, but the rest of the heads are lovely and you can swap them or add them into your share for a low price if you choose.autumn dec 2021 quarry field

EXTRA potatoes, sweet potatoes, big carrots, tomato sauces and farm made relish (a great holiday gift!) may be purchased as EXTRAS when you customize your share this week!

We are so grateful for the support of you, our members, during this past season and for the upcoming Summer 2022 CSA season.  It is because of your faithfulness, loyalty and glowing recommendations that we are able to keep our family farm growing in this, the 11th generation.  Thank you for supporting local organic agriculture!

SOME OF THE PRODUCE YOU RECEIVE HAS BEEN WASHED FROM THE FIELD, BUT LIKE ALL FRESH PRODUCE, SHOULD BE THOROUGHLY WASHED AND, SOMETIMES, REFRIGERATED BY YOU AT HOME.
