Welcome to Week 7!

Welcome to Week 7!

First things first: we're expecting our second baby in October!  Many of you know this already, but for those who we don't see regularly, we want to share the news.  It will be June's little brother and we couldn't be more excited.

It looks like summer weather is here for a bit, and the plants are thriving.  We have more cherry tomatoes this week, and we just picked our first few beefsteaks, so they will likely be available next week.  We also have jalapeños this week, and don't be fooled by the placid butterfly in the picture; these are spicy!  We sell them by the pair, but if you have special uses for them and need them in different quantities, just let us know!

Our cucumber plants are really cranking, so we are offering cucumbers by the pair this week.  Hopefully they will bring some coolness to your kitchen during the heat.  Our favorite, quick way to enjoy cucumbers is to quarter them and slice them and toss them with cilantro and seasoned rice vinegar.  Throw some finely chopped garlic scapes in too!

We are so short staffed this season that we've put June to work packing produce boxes!  Just kidding; but we ARE still looking for help in September and October, especially with the baby coming.  PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW IS AVAILABLE TO WORK FOR GOOD PAY AND PRODUCE THIS FALL!  Crew member descriptions are on our website, www.moosemeadoworganic.com/jobs.

As always, enjoy the produce and stay in touch!  We appreciate every single one of you.  Thank you for your membership.
