Our Farm Turns FIVE!

Posted on October 9th, 2021 by Katherine Nietmann

Welcome to Week 2!

This is a momentous week for us because our farm is turning FIVE! We started selling food on October 10 of 2016 and haven’t looked back since. Some of you have been with us since then and some of you have been with us for a week. In either case, we count you as a treasured member of our farm family and can’t wait to fill up your fridge again this week.

Our summer crops (namely peppers and eggplant) will be done after this week because we have to pull them out to make room for deep winter greens.  We are also trying to move through our less-hardy field crops like bok choi, radishes and celery before they get too many more hard freezes.  Carrots are conspicuously missing from the list this week because we are frantically trying to pull them, clean them, dry them and get them into storage but as soon as they're tucked away they'll be available for the rest of the season.

Enjoy the colors, the sun, the rain, the frost and the snow(?!?) and we'll see you on Wednesday!
