Farm Happenings for the week of August 3, 2021

Posted on July 28th, 2021 by Jessica Foote

Next week brings us to August, with it the grain harvest, watermelons, squash, beans, peppers, eggplants, and tomatoes! All are getting close to making their appearance, as the seasons palate changes.

Jessalynn thanks those who came to visit all the farms fur babies! Fun despite the rain!

We will have on offer peaches, apricots, and plums once again from Palatine Fruits and Roses; if you are looking for cases 25lbs peaches, 20lbs apricots, 25lbs plums. Contact me directly via text 905-986-9612, orders must be placed by Friday!

We also had our friend at Norman from Zehrs Farm market contact us and say that he has an abundance of pickling cucumbers! I will probably not have many as we lost our first planting of pickling cukes to the 4 day freeze up the last weekend in May. If you wish to do some canning let me know and we can order them! half bushels approx 20lbs -40$, and full bushel 40lbs--75$. Please place orders by Friday!

This week sees us seeding our winter radish, the last large planting of the year!

See you soon!

Cheers your farmer, Jess
