Farm Happenings for the week of October 31, 2020

Posted on October 28th, 2020 by Jessica Foote

Hello All,

Welcome to the Winter CSA season, I will apologize in advanced about getting your email and customization launched a little late! You will have till tomorrow night at 11pm to customize! We had a few technological issues to work out, and we have also been super busy helping a fellow farm get his crops in after a serious farm accident. Today will hopefully clean out his potato fields! We will have a few of Pine Haven's spaghetti squash available to help with his sales as well. They are not certified organic but they have not been sprayed.

Furthermore, since we had a pretty poor year for onions & storage cabbages as some did not survive the drought! We will have a few of Farmhouse Gardens items on the list as well. These are all certified both Biodynamic & organic and Mike has been farming organically for 30 years and is one of my mentors!

I hope you have all been keeping well, we have been keeping busy! We only have beets, Jerusalum Artichoke, and some Napa left in the field to harvest before we bid most of our crew farewell for the winter. I am hoping for some sleep and down time as November roles around. Preferred activity riding and driving my ponies! Hoping to be able to offer small family groups some wagon and/or sleigh rides. And get all the seed ordered for the season....

Last point of business our goal is to offer a drive through style service as we cannot allow people aside from staff in our building do to the current world circumstances. We have graveled the drive way to do so however, it is now blocked do to unforeseen circumstances. So for this week please just walk up to the table for pick up!Don't forget your bins or bags!

Look forward to seeing you all!

Cheers your farmer, Jess

SMILE!
