We made it to the midpoint of the CSA Season, YAY!

This season, challenges have been arriving like waves, or even tsunamis, one after another. First, it was the hail and heavy rain, and now it's the task of managing 80 acres of open space with a dwindling workforce. Curiously, I find myself almost preferring the unpredictability of the weather over the complexity of staffing challenges. The reason I bring this up is to shed light on the increasing difficulty of tending to the crops, battling weeds, planting new crops, and most crucially, harvesting the extensive array of produce needed for a viable farm operation, let alone a thriving CSA.

Our determined aim is to make it all happen, and to do so in a manner that fully aligns with our values. However, in the upcoming weeks, we might fall a bit short in accomplishing all the necessary work. There might be moments of frustration, deep sighs, or even shared laughter as we grapple with the workload. I kindly ask for your patience if there's an oversight or if the harvests happen to be lighter than usual.

Rest assured, my ultimate objective remains providing you with the finest food and the best possible CSA experience. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

With heartfelt appreciation, The Farmers at Kilt Farm

Summer Farm Tour - Tomorrow

Tomorrow August 12th, 9-2pm, 8140 Oxford Rd, Niwot

Come out to the farm and join us for a morning of tours, conversations and meeting the farmers and other members. We will be offering a tractor tour around the farm every 30 minutes. We will also have sparkling waters, grillables and some adult beverages for all of us to enjoy. No need to RSVP, just come on out

Feel free to spread the news, we are happy to share our story to your friends and neighbors.

Fruit Share

At press time I am still waiting to hear what organic fruit is available for us. So this week it will be a surprise but I can imagine we will have peaches or nectarines and maybe even some more plums.

We will have peaches available in the add on section for those that do not have a fruit share.

Thank you so much for being a member of the farm. We can't do it with out you.
