We will be harvesting beautiful Napa cabbage for this weeks offering! One of my favorite things about Fall is persimmons and citrus and this week we will be getting persimmons from Randle Farm that you can add to your order! Week #4 we will be going to our long time farmer friend Jimmie and Mildred in Montevallo to harvest Myer lemons, grapefruits and satsumas. We look forward to this treat every year and love sharing it with our members.

About the farm
Joy Haven Farm is a small Certified Naturally Grown market farm located in Shorter, AL, just north of Montgomery. We are entering our ninth growing season and strive for sustainability. We are currently offering Spring/Summer and Fall Farm Stand Session that includes our fresh seasonal vegetables and fruit. Add-ons such as eggs, yogurt, granola, coffee and meat from a neighboring sustainable farm can be delivered with each weeks share. We also provide seasonal vegetables to a number of local restaurants. We are thankful for what we have been entrusted with and will never use pesticides, insecticides, synthetic fertilizers or gmo seeds. Our goal is to leave our little piece of this world better than we found it.
