Cooler weather and collard! We will have collards from the Steele Farm in shares next week. I love cooking collards with pork and potatoes!

It dipped below 50 very early this morning so Im pretty sure it is official Fall in Zone 8 of Alabama and we couldn't be happier!

Week #2 of Fall CSA
So thankful to finally get a break from the rain and enjoying the continuing cooler weather.
This week our lettuce mix is back and asian greens are ready to harvest! Along with some fingerling sweet potatoes from our neighboring farmer Mr. Steele many yummy meals will be possible.

About the farm
Joy Haven Farm is a small Certified Naturally Grown market farm located in Shorter, AL, just north of Montgomery. We are entering our ninth growing season and strive for sustainability. We are currently offering Spring/Summer and Fall Farm Stand Session that includes our fresh seasonal vegetables and fruit. Add-ons such as eggs, yogurt, granola, coffee and meat from a neighboring sustainable farm can be delivered with each weeks share. We also provide seasonal vegetables to a number of local restaurants. We are thankful for what we have been entrusted with and will never use pesticides, insecticides, synthetic fertilizers or gmo seeds. Our goal is to leave our little piece of this world better than we found it.
