winding down

Posted on December 14th, 2020 by John Eisenstein

Hello!

I'm told we're about to get some real wintery weather coming up, so this will likely be the last delivery for a while.  PLEASE NOTE: Because of the forecast snow, delivery will be on FRIDAY, not Thursday!  I'll be spending Thursday digging out.  Pictured above is the semispicy baby greens mix.  It's the same as the fall salad mix, minus the lettuce-- tat soi, rapini, mizuna, mustard, arugula and things of such ilk.  Once it grows back and the spinach starts to produce, I'll resume sporadic deliveries.  Probably sometime in February, but who knows?

Other changes this week: Broccolini is very small, so we're selling it by the quart instead of bunching it.  And the kale is "tender young" kale, smaller leaves than the bunching kale with minimal stem.  Kale really shines this time of year-- if you ever wondered what the kale craze was all about, this week's kale will explain all!

Happy Holidays!
