Winding down

Posted on December 13th, 2020 by John Eisenstein

Hello!  I'm told we're about to get some very cold weather, so this is most likely the last delivery for a while.  Pictured above is the semispicy baby greens mix-- it's the same as the fall salad mix, minus the lettuce-- containing tat soi, bok choy, mizuna, mustards, rapini, arugula I think, and some other plants of that ilk.  Once it grows back and the spinach grows enough to harvest we'll resume sporadic deliveries-- probably sometime in February, but who knows?

Other changes this week: the broccolini is very small-- too small to bunch-- so we're selling it loose, by the quart.  And the kale is no longer full sized bunching kale, but tender young kale, in a bag, with a very sweet flavor and minimal sem.  Kale really shines this time of year.  If you're one of those people who has often wondered just what the kale craze was all about, this week's kale should answer that.

Happy Holidays!!!
