Farm Happenings for September 20, 2023

Posted on September 17th, 2023 by Mark Kastner
Although our growing areas are over 90% served by drip irrigation, I would like to experience some of the historical rainy September weather patterns. Most of our Tomato production is indoors and we do just the opposite, as we cut back on water to encourage the remaining fruits to ripen, aka producing seeds!

Monday, September 18 through Wednesday the 20 is the adjustment window for CSA Members to tweak or make changes to their deliveries for the Fall Memberships that begin next  week, and auto renew kicks in at the end of this week. Registration  is now open for new Memberships and the last Summer deliveries are now closed for additional sign up. Charges for 2 Fall weeks will be Thursday. I still have openings for home delivery!

One more note: this Saturday is the last Farmers Market in Grand Ledge on River Street. The  Orders and Distributions in weeks following, will take place in the parking lot behind Flour Child Bakery, 11:00 AM-12:00 noon, and home deliveries after that. Thank you!
