The Action plan for Winter production starts NOW! About November 10, daylight will fall below 10 hours, and anything we hope to harvest in the next cold winter months must be at least 75% mature. The cold aside, plant growth either stops or dramatically slows down in less than 10 hours of daylight. The process gets somewhat complicated because as we see a decline in daylight hours, it takes longer for the crops to mature!
The last Summer CSA distributions end the week of September 17 through 23.
Auto renew begins Monday September 18 for the Fall deliveries that begin the following week and Saturday, December 16. I will continue to offer Fruit Shares that entire season. You may change or add to your renewing share for 3 days, beginning Monday, September 18!
