We have eggs. So many eggs! We have opened up our egg share add-ons, so you can get them each week with your basket of veggies. Or if you know someone who only wants eggs you can point them our way and they can now sign up for just eggs. We are rapidly closing in on full production (95+ eggs a day!) and the pullet eggs are all sizing up nicely. They love the grass and alfalfa, and all the culls from the gardens so you get nice rich yolks and firm whites. Our aim is to have the best eggs in Alberta, so do send us your feedback so we can get better each week.
We also want to apologize for the lack of mizuna in the last harvest basket. We can't grow it due to flea beetle pressure, and Grand Trunk was short as the plants did one of those weird slow down for some reason things. We are including it this week in all the baskets at no charge to your accounts. Hopefully the garlic scapes make up for it.
Lastly, baby carrots have come on the scene! We are super excited about these ones because it means we've finally loosened up our compacted soil enough to grow carrots that don't look like mutants! We only have a limited amount right now, but the fields are looking great. Thanks everyone!
