What’s in the Box

Our first turnips are ready!  Pair them with bok choi and green onion for a lovely stir fry.  Oh course, you can also enjoy them raw with a touch of salt- it's my favorite.

We are also doing a first pick of our rhubarb.  It's time for crumble, or custard, or whatever your heart desires!

The greens are a little less bountiful this week, but there are some larger planting coming ready soon, especially with the sunshine they are calling for this coming week.  YAY!

On the Farm

It was cold and gray for a good chunk of the week, with a -5 overnight low on Wednesday.  Holy!

Luckily the forcast looks lovely for the forseeable future and we were able to plant our first round of broccoli and cauliflower outside today.

Our cherry tomatoes and cucumbers are ready to plant next week into a heated greenhouse and I can barely wait for the first harvest of each.  Yum!

That’s all for now, happy eating until next time,

Farmer Tamara
