Fill your freezer with greens + apples + microgreens

I love having cooking greens all winter long to add to my soups, quiches, and curries. 

In just about 5 weeks Firmly Rooted is going into hibernation for a few months, so if you'd like to tuck some greens away in the freezer now is the time.  We are offering bulk curly kale (4 BIG bunches for $15.00) or bulk spinach (1 pound for $13.00).  Not sure how to freeze greens?  Here's a how to:

I also grew some really gorgeous microgreens and pea shoots this week and forgot to add them to the csa!  Yikes!  They are in this farm stand for all you microgreen affecionado's.

We're also reminding you that we brought in some super tasty organic apples from Apple Creek farm in Drayton, Ontario.
