We Love Being Your Farmers!
When I was a little girl our basement flooded and my hamster food sprouted. I still remember finding the bag, which was swollen and spotted with tender green shoots. I was utterly fascinated. The previously dull, dusty feed was literally bursting with life.
This was the beginning of my life-long love affair with plants, one that had me working at garden centres as a teenager, and attending University for Landscape Architecture (where Brian and I met). Once I shifted my focus to food plants, and began having the privilege of feeding you amazing people, this love affair became a deeply fulfilling relationship. I am truly grateful to have a community that loves eating our veggies as much as we love growing them.
We opened the CSA to members last Monday afternoon, just one week ago. The spring share is now sold out, and the summer and winter shares are both at 75% capacity. We are blown away by the support.

First Veggie Delivery of 2021 is Next Week!
Next week we’ll be making our first veggie delivery on Thursday February 11th, or Friday February 12th, depending on your location. It’s deep winter out there, and we don’t have staff at the moment so the boxes will be limited in number. We’ll aim to do another delivery in two weeks (weather permitting).
A few notes about this delivery:
There is a $25.00 order minimum.
We are going to pick as many greens as we can (we know you want them!), but if we pick too many we'll set the plantings back too far and then we won't have enough next delivery. It's a balancing act.
We've got lots of great root veggies to offer from our fall harvests. One of my favorite veggies these days is our diakon radishes which have a great crunch and beautiful color. We also have these super adorable round carrots that I hope you'll try, they are great roasted, and look great left whole or halved.
Please only chose Akromold as your delivery location if you are staff. There isn't anywhere safe to leave veggies if you don't work there.
