Apples!  Ellie and Charlie made an attempt at eating a grounder Gravenstein... a bit tart, but still so exciting we went for it anyways.  We grow over 28 varieties of Apples, many of which you can't buy in a grocery store cuz they're too unusual.  The first one to ripen is usually "Pristine" a Yellow Apple that is crisp, juicy, sweet tart.  Honestly it's one of my favorites and not just because it's the first apple after soooo long without.  We don't have heaps of any one variety, so likely this year they will all go to the CSA.  Something to look forward to as strawberries slow down.

The days just keep flying by... but thank goodness for pets.  Nellie, one of our 3 black and white dogs, has really risen to the occasion with the kids home full time.  Can't get over the amount of patience and love.  Taking notes ;)

We're finally starting to feel almost caught up on correspondence. Hope you all have been managing to navigate the HARVIE experience ok.  We are getting lots of confused e-mails about swapping and extras.  If you are struggling, please let us know and we'll do our best to help.  The site is confusing and we have a long laundry list of improvements we've requested from the developers.  They're working on it...
