... and the veggies are so delightful!
It's such a great feeling going about our daily chores, and walking from winter wonderland into our veggie coolers full of so many delicious treats. Winter storage veggies would have had their hay day before mass transportation of produce all over the globe took over the diets of everyday families. I think they're making a come-back as more and more people start recognizing how delicious they are - and how well they can keep to feed people locally in the winter months. While I love eating well all year long, it's also really special to be able to make a living year-round farming too! These days I'm busy adjusting space heaters, refilling humidifiers, packing veggies and catching up on the year's office work. Extra special thanks to all you winter CSA members out there, you keep four of us employed full year :)
