We're so very close to tomatoes, cucumbers, even ground cherries... but it feels so far away while I'm preparing our harvest sheets. This week is a quieter week at the farm in terms of diversity, but not to dismay the abundance is on the way! We lost a few crops to that heat wave, did you know that plants flower as a response to stress? So all that heat... sent a few veggies into flowering mode and that means the flavour goes by the wayside and we don't harvest them anymore for eating. We've got a good system to supply water though, so the future crops are coming along nicely.
