Lettuce Party

Posted on April 17th, 2020 by Heather Coffey

Wow, the greenhouse is rocking! We've got two beds of lettuce to clear out this week, so it's all you can eat. I've given everyone two lettuce heads by default... but there's lots more so don't be shy. I've had some amazing reactions as I tuck lettuce heads on porches, you should give it a try ;) socially distant, left on the porch of course. We have to make room to plant our next round of lettuces, beets, bok choy, cilantro and hakuri that will be feeding you in May and June. In this photo you can see our Mustard Mix growing to the left of the lettuce, and the radishes getting ready for next delivery to the right of the lettuce. These two lettuce beds are the last ones left to "re-plant" for your spring veggies.

We've also filled up our seedling tables, and been busy in the fields cleaning up drip tapes and row covers. We're hoping to get onto the fields soon so we can start planting out the onions and make room for more seedlings - we keep those tables full usually until September with a regular rotation of veggies getting a great start to life before we plant them out into the fields.
