Farm Happenings for Oct 24-29 2021

Posted on October 24th, 2021 by Marnie Chown

Well, we finally got frost!! We are so lucky to have gone this long without it, but there's no denying that winter is on it's way now!

We will be harvesting the last of most crops in the next week which means that some things will be smaller than normal since everything has stopped growing. The celery stalks are a bit thinner than what we have been harvesting and the beets and turnips are smaller as well.

We will have bagged beets, bagged carrots and bagged turnips this week instead of bunches. Because they are on the small side will bag them and sell them by the pound (for $4/bag).

We have jack-o-lantern pumpkins and squashes again from Forman Farms, apples from Hall's Apple Market, and all of Sarah's products as well including more of her garlic, peppers, fresh/dried herbs, teas, salves and oils.
