Holy rain!
It has been raining here quite a bit over the past few days...that combined with the coolness has make it a bit dreary! Brrr!
This week we will have brussels sprouts and stir fry mix on the list of items available! The stir fry mix will be pre-washed just like all the other bagged greens, but we aren't going to break it down too much since the break points tend to turn brown. It will be up to you to chop it to the size you'd like for sautéing or frying.
Sarah has a couple new products available too! You can find cayenne powder and dried thyme in addition to all her other stuff in the extras area this week. I'm personally loving the garlic powder and all the fresh herbs from her. I made an amazing potato salad this weekend with a mixture of few different dried and fresh items she's growing!
Some crops are really starting to slow down now so you can anticipate receiving lots of greens going forward (since they thrive in this type of weather) as well as squashes and root crops.
Not much else is new around here! We are waiting for parts to arrive so we can start moving one of our greenhouses, that will be a big project!! The cover crops in the spring beds are looking great and the other cover crops in the big greenhouse are growing nicely. We are excited to see how production in there will be affected next season!!
